Invisalign®

This treatment is the modern form of orthodontics. It brings the best of both worlds: The appearance of not having orthodontics while wearing discreet and comfortable aligners that create perfect smiles. Also, the clear aligners are removable, so you can eat, drink, brush, and floss normally.

At Signature Dentistry, Dr. Ryan Johnson is a Preferred Provider of Invisalign®. He follows Invisalign® protocol to get unique models of your individual teeth, so the aligners are made to shape your mouth into ideal alignment over time.

Crowns & Bridges

Crowns and bridges can restore your smile’s function and beauty. A crown covers a broken or weakened tooth to restore its shape, size and strength and improves its appearance. A bridge is two or more crowns that are anchored to the adjacent teeth with the purpose of replacing missing teeth.

Porcelain Veneers

Out of all the procedures for cosmetic dentistry, our Lethbridge patients love porcelain veneers. Porcelain veneers are wafer-thin shells of porcelain that are bonded directly to the front side of a tooth. They can be used to:

  • Repair teeth that have been stained, chipped, or are slightly misaligned.

  • Conceal and cover fillings that have become stained or discolored.

  • Conceal gaps between teeth.

These cosmetic miracles are easily bonded to your teeth and can completely transform your smile.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening is an excellent conservative option to take your smile’s shade up a few notches. At Signature Dentistry, we offer take-home whitening. Take-home whitening is a system dispensed by us, but carried out by you at home, allowing you to have control of your tooth’s shade.

Sedation Dentistry

If your dental health is affected by your fear of dentists or apprehension of dental treatment, you are not alone. Being sensitive to your needs, we are pleased to offer sedation dentistry.

Oral conscious sedation allows you to be extremely relaxed, though fully responsive, during general, cosmetic dentistry, or more extensive procedures. It’s the perfect solution for phobic patients receiving general dentistry procedures or anxious patients who have limited time to spend in the dental chair. Lengthy treatments, such as implant dentistry or reconstructive procedures, can also be achieved in a minimal number of visits, with little memory of your experience.

Full Mouth Rehabilitation

This extensive treatment involves restoring the function and beauty of your smile. The first step would be to restore your bite back to its optimum function, which could include a combination of procedures, such as dental implants and Invisalign. The next step would be to bring back your smile’s beauty, involving cosmetic procedures, such as veneers or whitening.

In the end, you’ll receive a magnificent smile, lasting for years. You won’t be able to stop smiling.

Myofunctional Therapy

Are you frustrated with health issues but finding no solution? Problems could include sleep apnea, TMJ pain, speech impairment, thumb sucking, or misaligned teeth.

You may benefit from myofunctional therapy. This form of physical therapy helps strengthen, develop, and harmonize the muscles of the face and mouth. It’ll improve your health and quality of life!

Dental Implants

Are you embarrassed to smile because of missing teeth? Are slipping and sliding dentures preventing you to eat and speak freely? With dental implants, you can finally have some stability in your life.

A dental implant consists of three parts: the titanium post, abutment, and the crown. First, the titanium post is placed into the jawbone to act as an anchor for false teeth. Once fitted into the jaw, it takes an average of about three months for the surrounding bone to fuse with the implant. Then, the abutment and crown become permanently attached to the post. As a result, you’ll have a functioning and natural-looking implant.

TMJ Treatment

When your bite is not correct, TMJ or TMD (Temporomandibular Disorders) develops. This can lead to painful symptoms, such as:

  • Jaw locking

  • Severe headaches

  • Jaw clicking

  • Back and neck pain

  • Anxiety

  • Insomnia

Dr. Johnson can help relieve your pain by using a mouthguard or splint while working with your physician to combat TMD. The splint is a custom-made appliance that can be removable or fixed to the teeth to obtain a comfortable bite position.

Periodontal Therapy

Gum disease can hurt much more than your smile – it can be detrimental to your overall health. Gum disease begins when the bacteria in plaque cause the gums to swell, redden, and bleed easily. If left untreated, it could lead to receding gums and tooth loss.

If diagnosed early, treatment to reverse gum disease can be as simple as a professional dental cleaning, followed by proper oral hygiene care at home. We also offer scaling and root planning to remove plaque and tartar from deep gum pockets. When these treatments are not effective or the disease is well-advanced, Dr. Johnson may recommend periodontal surgery.

Hygiene

To ensure your oral health is in pristine condition, we recommend visiting the dentist at least every six months. At your first appointment with us, Dr. Johnson will conduct a thorough exam to determine the best course of treatment for your smile. Then, our skilled hygienist will conduct a gentle cleaning to get you ready for the next stage of your smile journey.
